During August 1-2, 2017 in the south-central province of Binh Thuan’s Phan Thiet city, the Co-ordination Board of the Belgian-backed project on “Integrated water resources management and urban development in relation to climate change in Binh Thuan province” organized a training course on communications skills.
The course was participated in by 18 trainees who are representatives from all different-level administrative agencies in the province’s districts of Tuy Phong and Bac Binh.
At the class, the trainees were provided with useful information about water resources, integrated water resource management and urban development, as well as communications skills.
With the active participation of the trainees and experience from trainers, the training course also served as a useful forum for sharing experiences on water resources and urban development issues in the province.
Based on the training course, the Co-ordination Board of the project will select suitable trainees for other higher-level training courses, which will further contribute to boosting all communications and community development activities in the province, within the project’s framework. This will also help boost the participation of all stakeholders and the community in the project in particular and in all activities about responding to climate change in general.
