Inaugurating the anti-erosion embankment work at the Luy river

On 10 January 2019, the Provincial People’s Committee of Binh Thuan had the great honor to welcome Mr Paul Jansen, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium, for the inauguration ceremony for completion of works to strengthen the embankment of the Luy River in Phan Thanh commune, Bac Binh District. The construction which helps to stabilize the river banks and reduce erosion risk was implemented under the Belgium-funded project of “Integrated water resource management and urban planning related to climate change in Binh Thuan Province”.

More than VND125 billion (US$5.43 million) is being invested into key infrastructure works in the central province of Ha Tinh

As part of the Belgium-funded project on “Integrated water resource management and urban planning related to climate change in Ha Tinh” a total of 13 key infrastructure activities are being constructed with a total investment of more than VND125 billion (US$5.43 million). According to the Project Management Unit for Civil and Industrial Construction and Investment in the central province of Ha Tinh all construction is expected to be complete by March 2019.

More than VND290 billion (nearly €11 million) invested into key works

According to the technical support unit (TSU) for the Belgium-funded project on “Integrated water resource management and urban development in relation to climate change in Ha Tinh, Ninh Thuan, and Binh Thuan”, so far, 22 works have been constructed in the three provinces, with total investment capital of more than VND290 billion (nearly €11 million).

Community Workshop on exchanging information about construction works at Cau Ngoi drain in Ninh Thuan.

A workshop was held to bring together the various parties involved in the construction works at the Cau Ngoi drain as part of the project on Integrated Water Management and Urban Development in relation to Climate Change. The implementation unit, the Committee on Capacity Building and Implementation of water ODA Projects, organized the workshop to facilitate better understanding and communication between the project managers, the construction firms, and the locally established community supervision boards.
